On Sunday, March 8, we’re handing the spotlight over to the women who shaped music, shook it, and keep pushing it forward. From 10 a.m. through midnight, 107one will become a day‑long celebration of female artists and female‑fronted bands, offering the legends you know, the stars you love, and the Michigan voices you’re about to fall for.
This isn’t a “special programming block.” It’s a full‑day takeover. It’s legends so iconic they only need one name, like Joni, Tina, Dolly and Aretha. It’s the artists who feel like part of our everyday orbit, like Sheryl, Brandi and Florence. And it’s the names you’re just getting to know, like Mitski, Lola and Laufey. All of them part of a continuum that defines where music has been and where it’s going next.
And because music doesn’t tell the whole story, we’re also shining a light on the incredible women across Washtenaw County and Michigan who make a difference every day. Throughout the broadcast, you’ll hear short, heartfelt salutes to educators, creators, first responders, community leaders, and everyday champions.
Set your reminder, cue up the app, tell your friends, and join us for a day that’s all about turning up the women who turn up the volume in our lives.
Female Voices. Full Volume. All day. All 107one.
