Bio: One of Michigan‘s biggest breakout acts during the 90’s alt-rock explosion, Sponge has been a staple for local rock stations with their hit songs “Plowed“, “Molly (16 Candles Down the Drain),” and “Wax Ecstatic (To Sell Angelina).” Formed in 1992 by lead singer and sole constant member Vinnie Dombroski, the band has been continuing to play long after its 90’s heyday. The band released their 10th studio album, “1994” in October, 2024.
