Matthew Altruda is a dynamic force in Michigan’s music scene, best known as the host of “Tree Town Sound,” a radio show on ann arbor’s 107one that champions local artists and emerging talent.
Originally from New England, Altruda moved to Ann Arbor in 1993 and quickly became a fixture in the community, working as a promoter, booking agent, band manager, and festival curator. He’s played a key role in events like Sonic Lunch and Taste of Ann Arbor, and currently works in marketing for the Bank of Ann Arbor, which sponsors many of these initiatives.
With a deep passion for music and a reputation as an artist advocate, Altruda has earned the nickname “Ann Arbor music impresario” for his tireless support of Michigan musicians.
