Bio: Patty PerShayla may have started out as a solo singer-songwriter in West Michigan, but it didn’t take long for her to pick up a bass guitar and follow the path of rock and roll. After forming The Mayhaps in 2019, she focused on making bluesy and energetic riffs with guitarist Lucas Powell and drummer Alec Klinefelter. Following the release of the band’s debut album “Cheap Diction” in 2021, the members relocated to Nashville, though they kept ties to Michigan. Their music video for the song “Slo Mo” won Best Music Video at the 2022 Grand Rapids Film Festival and opened for Traverse City band The Accidentals during ann arbor’s 107one’s Sonic Lunch concert series in 2023. Outside of The Mayhaps, PerShayla participates in the annual She Shreds’ One Riff a Day (#1RAD) challenge on Instagram, sings as the frontwoman of Rush cover band YYNOT, and uploads ukulele metal covers on her YouTube channel.
