ABOUT THE HOST

Mark Copeland is a seasoned radio personality whose journey began in suburban Detroit and took him across the country—from college radio in the 1980s to professional stints in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, New Mexico, and back home in Michigan. With a deep love for music and an encyclopedic memory for trivia, Mark has worked across formats including Alternative, Top 40, Adult Contemporary, Sports, and the Adult Rock sound that defines ann arbor’s 107one. He joined the station shortly after its launch in 2004 and became program director in May 2023.
Known for his engaging on-air presence and sharp ear for emerging talent, Mark hosts two specialty shows: “Under the Radar Radio,” spotlighting indie and breakthrough artists, and “Sonic Bliss,” a chillout music experience broadcast from Michigan to New Zealand. A lifelong Tigers fan and music aficionado, Mark once aced a test for VH-1’s “Rock & Roll Jeopardy,” only to be disqualified for knowing too much. His passion for sound and storytelling continues to shape the station’s identity and connect listeners to the music they didn’t know they needed.
