Ingrid Michaelson is turning her latest TV obsession into her next album.

Billboard reports that “The Way I Am” singer is at work on Stranger Songs, which is inspired by the Netflix series Stranger Things. She tells the magazine that she’s never built a record on someone else’s art, but she’s feels such a strong connection “to the world Stranger Things has created.” She says it brings her back “to a place of safety and comfort when everything seemed simple,” and that especially after losing her parents, she finds “the idea of living in that space, even for an hour at a time…not only intoxicating, [but] necessary.”

Michaelson plans to time the album’s release to coincide with the start of the show’s third season. Season two came out last October.
