Foo Fighters For $44

Foo Fighters will lead a star-studded lineup of acts who’ll play $44 shows at a new Washington, DC venue.

They’ll play May 30th’s opening night at The Atlantis, a new 450-capacity venue located next door to the heritage DC rock venue The 9:30 Club, and run by the same ownership. The Atlantis was actually the name of the venue that became the 9:30 Club, which opened 44 years ago, in 1979. The new Atlantis will be a replica of that original facility.

Other acts who’ll play the during the $44 promotion, which runs through September 9th, include Pixies, Billy Idol, Spoon, Ben Gibbard, Third Eye Blind, Bush, The Head and the Heart, Portugal the Man, Franz Ferdinand, Joan Jett, Bastille, Jeff Tweedy, Gary Clark Junior and the closing night headliner Maggie Rogers, from nearby Easton, Maryland.

Foo Fighters were also the first act to play the 9:30 Club when it reopened after the pandemic.
