White Stripes Celebrate 20 Years of Elephant

The White Stripes’ fourth album, Elephant, is getting two reissues for its 20th anniversary.

On March 31st there will be a digital and streaming deluxe edition that has the original album plus a 27-song concert recorded at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom on July 2nd, 2003. [You can see a version of “The Hardest Button to Button” from that show below]

On April 21st a limited-edition two-record set will be out with one in “red smoke” colored vinyl and the other “clear with red and black smoke.”

Elephant was released on April 1st, 2003. It went on to be nominated for the Album of the Year Grammy, and won for Best Alternative Music Album. It also contains the iconic sports anthem “Seven Nation Army.”
