Sheryl Crow, Chaka Khan, Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles, Brandi Carlile, David Byrne and John Legend sing with Rufus Wainwright on his new album Folkocracy, due out on June 2nd.

The album sees Wainwright and his guests remake various folk songs. The first track and video is a duet with Brandi Carlile on “Down in the Willow Garden.” See it below.

Wainwright, who turns 50 this July, says the album “is almost like a recorded birthday party and birthday present to myself. I just invited all the singers that I greatly admire and always wanted to sing with.” He’ll celebrate the album with many of its guest vocalists at Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles on June 2nd.
