Fans Push For INXS Rock Hall Induction

Some INXS fans have launched a petition in an attempt to get the Australian band on the ballot for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction next year.

They’re trying to get 15,000 signatures in hopes of securing a place on the Rock Hall’s annual list of nominees. As of Wednesday afternoon, organizers were within 5000 signatures of their goal. They’ve also started the website It has a link to the petition as well news and video clips of some of the band’s accomplishments.

Right now, the Australian contingent in the Rock Hall consists of AC/DC, The Bee Gees and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, who was born in Melbourne, but emigrated to the U.S. when he was young.
