Corgan to Unveil New Album Via Podcast

The Smashing Pumpkins have found a new way to debut songs from a new album — a weekly podcast.

The band’s new album, ATUM (which is pronounced autumn) is a three-three song rock opera in three parts and is the sequel to 1995’s Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and 2000’s Machina/Machine of God. And frontman Billy Corgan will debut a song each week now through April on a new podcast titled Thirty-Three with William Patrick Corgan. The first two episodes are out now where you get your podcasts.

The first single from the massive project is “Beguiled.” The video for the song is on YouTube. The Pumpkins will give the song its live debut on Jimmy Fallon on Thursday.

The deluxe vinyl version is available only from the Corgan’s tea shop, Madame Zuzu’s. It has the album spread over four records and includes five seven-inch singles with an additional 10 songs that won’t be available on streaming until fall 2023.
