Record Store Day Is Set For Saturday

Record Store Day is set for Saturday with over 300 special releases hitting indie stores.

A handful of the records won’t be out until June 18th due to pressing plant delays, so make sure you check out the full list at the Record Store Day site before heading to your favorite shop.

Here are some selected highlights of this year’s list:

Alice in Chains – We Die Young 12-inch. The reissue of their debut EP includes the rarity “Killing Yourself.”

Blur – Bustin’ + Dronin’ 2-LP. This is the first U.S. release of a 1998 Japan-only remix compilation.

Belinda Carlisle – The Heaven on Earth Tour 2-LP. This documents the trek where Carlisle played her 1987 album in its entirety. 

Chicago – Chicago at Carnegie Hall, April 9, 1971 3-LP. This is one of the shows first released in the 16-CD set Chicago at Carnegie Hall Complete.

Peter Gabriel – Live Blood 3-LP. This sees Gabriel remake his songs with an orchestra and was recorded in London in 2010.

Glass Animals – “I Don’t Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance)” 12-inch. This includes a new version of the title track done with Albert Hammond Junior of The Strokes.

The Lumineers – Brightside: Bonus Tracks 10-inch EP. This has four tracks recorded during the Brightside sessions.

Ramones – The Sire Albums (1981-1989) 7-LP Box Set. The six albums in this set are reissued on vinyl for the first time and it comes with a bonus LP of rarities. 

Pete Townshend’s Deep End – Face the Face 2-LP. This documents Townshend’s tour for White City and features David Gilmour on lead guitar.

U2 – A Celebration (40th Anniversary) 12-inch EP. This adds an alternate version of the of the title track, plus live version of “Trash, Trampoline and the Party Girl” recorded in October 2015 in Cologne, Germany.
