Legendary photographer Mick Rock has died at age 72, according to a statement on his official Twitter account.

During the ’70s, Rock shot classic photos of such icons as David Bowie, Queen, Blondie, Iggy Pop and others. His work also turned up on the covers of several classic albums, including Queen II, Iggy & the Stooges’ Raw Power and Lou Reed’s Transformer.
