One Dead, Two Hurt at Phish Concert

Tragedy struck during Sunday night’s Phish concert at the Chase Center in San Francisco when three fans fell from the upper level.

Medics responded to one person and administered treatment, but the man was declared dead. Investigators do not suspect foul play. Later in the show, two others were injured when a fan fell from an upper level and landed on another person below. They were both taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Chase Center officials say they are working with police to determine why these falls happened. Some fans suggested that the railings are not high enough for the type of event where people are standing. The Chase Center opened two years ago.
