Simon Gallup Is Back In The Cure

Simon Gallup has apparently rejoined The Cure.

Back in August, the bassist wrote that he’d left the band because he “just got fed up of betrayal.” This week Gallup’s new project Alice Blue Gown posted a photo of him on Facebook. In the comments a fan asked, “Is Simon still a member of The Cure?” Gallup responded: “Yes I am.”

Gallup is the second-longest tenured member of the band behind frontman Robert Smith. Gallup joined in 1979 after the release of Three Imaginary Boys and then left in 1982 after playing on Pornography. He rejoined two years later and has been in the band ever since (except for the past two months, it seems).
