KT Tunstall has canceled all of her scheduled live dates over concerns that she could permanently lose her hearing.

The Scottish singer has been deaf in her left ear since a sudden onset of the problem during a concert in 2018. Now, she says she’s experiencing tinnitus — or constant ringing — in her right ear, which is how the problem started last time.

KT took to Twitter to break the news to fans, saying “To move forward safely in my career, I must ensure that my touring schedule leaves adequate rest between smaller batches of shows.”

She concluded by saying “I wish to play live and create music for the rest of my life, but to best ensure I will be able to do so, I must put my hearing health first as it could be the difference between being able to be a musician or not.”
