Weezer will have their game face on today and will premiere a never-before-heard song.

The band are performing on the Kick Off Live! Show for Summer Game Fest, a free, month-long, global experience aimed at the video game community. The show gets underway at 2 p.m. ET on YouTube, Twitter and Twitch. Produced and hosted by Canadian video game journalist Geoff Keighley [pr: KEE-lee], it’s expected to not only feature Weezer’s performance, but over a dozen world premieres and announcements from publishers.

As for the song itself, the band today (Wednesday) tweeted an eight-second video with the comment “A little taste of what’s to come tomorrow.” The music behind it is a snippet of “Tell Me What You Want,” an unreleased song first seen in a YouTube video last month that appears to show guitarist Brian Bell working out his part while what could be Rivers Cuomo‘s demo of it plays in the background.
