The Latest on Lana Del Rey’s New Studio Recordings

It looks as if Lana Del Rey won’t wait all that long before releasing a follow-up to her upcoming Chemtrails Over the Country Club, but it’ll have a very different sound to it.

Del Rey tells the British magazine Mojo that she’s completed an album of country covers and that she’s also working on a collection of “other folk songs,” which sounds like it may be an Americana project she’s mentioned in the past.

Speaking of the past, she also says that she nearly gave up music following the death of Amy Winehouse in 2011. “Everyone was watching, mesmerized, but I personally felt like I didn’t even want to sing anymore.”

The long-awaited, long-delayed Chemtrails Over the Country Club should be out on March 19th.
