Apparently releasing two Weezer albums this year and writing a four-album project based around the seasons isn’t enough to keep Rivers Cuomo busy.

Cuomo tells The Forty Five that he’s also working on a film musical called Buddha Superstar. The mysterious project is being helmed by one of the producers who brought Green Day’s American Idiot to Broadway.

Cuomo hasn’t offered up any other details except to say, “It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long. I think I just needed somebody else to come along and really encourage me.”
