A New Tom Petty Documentary Will Receive Premiere at SXSW

A new Tom Petty documentary will get its world premiere at the online version of the South by Southwest Film Festival.

Tom Petty, Somewhere You Feel Free was assembled by director Mary Wharton from a recently discovered archive of 16-millimeter films showing Petty at work on Wildflowers in 1993 and 1994. The festival runs from March 16th through the 20th.

This is the second documentary about the making of Wildflowers. 400 Days was available only as part of The Live Anthology: Deluxe Edition that was sold at Best Buy locations in 2009. It an hour-long film covering the recording and the tour in support of Wildflowers.
