A documentary on London’s Abbey Road Studios is in development — with the daughter of one of the most famous artists ever to use the facility heading the creative team.

Mary McCartney, Paul’s filmmaker daughter, will direct If These Walls Could Sing. She notes that “some of my earliest memories as a young child come from time spent at Abbey Road… I’ve long wanted to tell the story of this historic place.”

Abbey Road’s managing director Isabel Garvey, adds, “If these walls could sing. I have lost count how many times I’ve heard that said [here] over the years. I can’t wait for some of these stories finally come to life in what will become a timeless documentary.”

The film will form the centerpiece of Abbey Road’s 90th anniversary celebration, which begins this November.
