A lot of small business have been closing this year, but that didn’t stop Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins from relaunching one.
Back in 2018 Corgan closed Madame ZuZu’s Tea Shop And Art Studio because the space it had been occupying was too small. Now Corgan and his partner Chloe Mendel reopened the shop at a new location in Highland Park, Illinois. The shop is open for takeout and outdoor dining and has just launched an online store.
Corgan sometimes performed at the old location, and the new space also has an area for live performances. (No performances will happen, of course, until pandemic restrictions are lifted.)
