Bellamy Bought Buckley’s Guitar

Matt Bellamy of Muse added a piece of rock history to his guitar collection recently.

He purchased Jeff Buckley’s 1983 blonde USA Fender Telecaster, the guitar used on the late singer’s only studio album, Grace, and his classic take on “Hallelujah.” Bellamy tells Guitar World that he’s not going to have it hanging on a wall like the previous few owners. He says, “I’ve bought it to actually attempt to use it and integrate it, and keep this guitar part of music. I’d like to believe that’s what [Buckley] would have wanted.”

Bellamy has already played the guitar on a track for his covers supergroup Jaded Hearts Club and plans on using it on the next Muse album, too.
