Joy Division Singer Tribute

Brandon Flowers of The Killers plus Bernard Sumner and Stephen Morris of New Order and Joy Division will pay tribute to late Joy Division singer Ian Curtis.

Moving Through the Silence: Celebrating The Life and Legacy of Ian Curtis will stream Monday at 3:00 p.m. ET at United We Stream and will raise funds for the Manchester COVID-19 Relief Fund. The show is billed as “a special evening of music, poetry and conversation to remember the life and legacy of Ian Curtis.” Monday is the 40th anniversary of Curtis taking his own life.

Joy Division’s 1980 album, Closer, along with their singles “Love Will Tear Us Apart,” “Transmission” and “Atmosphere,” will be reissued on vinyl for their 40th anniversary.
