Michael Stipe: Posts Video Performance of New Song
Michael Stipe has posted video of himself performing a new song.
The former R.E.M. frontman co-wrote “No Time for Love Like Now” with Aaron Dessner of The National. The video captures him singing it live to a backing track that’s the demo of the song.
On Sunday, Dessner tweeted, “Michael Stipe has been a great hero and friend to me (and The National) and I never in my wildest dreams imagined writing songs together… but here is the demo of one in progress… coming to you from Michael in isolation at home — hope it raises some spirits.”
