Green Day: New Track Will Help Two Charities

Green Day have released the latest single from Father of All…, and it’s going to raise money for a couple of deserving charities.

The song is “Oh Yeah,” and you can watch the video on YouTube now. The track samples “Do You Wanna Touch Me” as done by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. That song was co-written by Gary Glitter, who was convicted of attempted rape, four counts of indecent assault, and one of having sex with a girl under the age of 13 in 2015 and sentenced to 16 years in prison.

The band says, “One of the writers on that song is a total [scumbag], so we’re donating our royalties from this song to International Justice Mission and Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network.”

Father of All… is due out February 7th.
