Even though there’s no festival to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Woodstock this weekend, New York State Police are warning travelers of heavy traffic and expecting up to 100,000 visitors to the site in Bethel, New York.

The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, which sits on the back side of the festival site, will screen the Woodstock film on the field tonight (Thursday) and host a performance by Woodstock veteran Arlo Guthrie.

Tomorrow (Friday), Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band will play the Center, followed by Santana and The Doobie Brothers on Saturday and John Fogerty on Sunday. Both Santana and Fogerty (with Creedence Clearwater Revival) played the 1969 festival.

Woodstock drew an estimated 500,000 people on August 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th, 1969.
