Frank Turner shares the stories of various women throughout history on his new album, No Man’s Land.

The album, due out August 16th, also inspired a podcast, Tales From No Man’s Land, that expands upon the stories in Turner’s songs and launches today.

Turner says, “These stories should have been told already. And I suspect if they were men they would be better known.” The first single, “Sister Rosetta,” is about gospel singer and electric guitarist (and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer) Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
