National, Death Cab, Chvrches: Pay Tribute to Frightened Rabbit

Members of The National, Death Cab for Cutie and Chvrches pay tribute to Frightened Rabbit on a new album.

Tiny Changes – A Celebration of The Midnight Organ Fight is due out July 12th, and it marks the 10th anniversary of the band’s 2008 album The Midnight Organ Fight. All the tracks were recorded before Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison killed himself in May 2018. The band saysthat Hutchison had listened to and approved all of the covers before his death.

Aaron Dessner of The National and Lauren Mayberry of Chrvches team up on “Who’d You Kill Now,” while Ben Gibbard of Death Cab covers “Keep Yourself Warm.” Other acts on the album include Manchester Orchestra, Josh Ritter and Craig Finn of The Hold Steady.

A portion of the proceeds from album sales will benefit Tiny Changes, the mental health charity launched in Hutchison’s name that helps raise awareness and provides support for children and young people struggling with mental health issues.
