David Bowie: More From The Archives

More unearthed David Bowie demos will go on the auction block this month.

The four-song reel-to-reel tape, recorded in 1966 and 1967, will be up for bids through Omega Auctions on May 21st along with other Bowie memorabilia. Only one of the tracks was ever released — a reworked version of “Did You Ever Have a Dream” was the B-side to the single “Love You Till Tuesday.” The tape is expected to fetch $15,000.

This year is also turning out to be a singles box set bonanza for David Bowie fans.

The latest one to be announced is for “Space Oddity” and will be out on July 12th, just one day after the song’s 50th anniversary. This set includes the original mono single edit and the original mono version of the B-side, “Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud” plus brand-new remixes of both tracks by longtime Bowie collaborator Tony Visconti. The new Visconti mix of “Space Oddity” will also get a digital release.

The box also comes with a poster featuring an original “Space Oddity” print ad and an information card about the song.

Also recently announced a 7″ picture disc for the song “DJ”
