The Highwomen — the supergroup of Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris and Amanda Shires — have booked their first official show, and added a member.
They’ll perform at the Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island on July 26th. There might be a couple of dates to follow that show, since both Carlile and Morris have gaps in their summer tours between the 26th and August 1st.
The Highwomen are also now a four-piece group, as Nashville singer-songwriter Natalie Hemby — best known for songs by Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town — has joined. The Highwomen were in the studio back in February and March working on their debut album, which has no release date as of yet.
