Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes appears in a deleted musical scene from the Oscar-nominated film Vice.

Howard plays a congresswoman who sings about the power dynamics of politics in Washington, D.C., and at one point she sings, “So you want to climb that ladder/ Where power is served upon a platter/ Hear only yes and never no / And always have the final say so.”

The scene will be featured on the Vice Blu-ray and DVD due out on April 2nd.
