The Black Keys: They’re Back!

The Black Keys are back with a new track.

“Lo/Hi” is Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney‘s first new song on five years. It was recorded in Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville. They haven’t announced any plans for an album yet, but they’ll likely hit the road this year as they’re one of the rumored headliners for Woodstock 50.

The duo have been busy with other projects since they stopped touring for Turn Blue back in 2015. Auerbach started his Easy Eye Sound label, released an album with The Arcs and a solo album, and produced of number of albums for artists on the label.

Carney started a new project called Sad Planets, whose debut album is due out April 19th. He played on albums by Michelle Branch (who he also had a child with last year) and a dozen other artists, and co-wrote the theme music for the Netflix show BoJack Horseman with his late uncle, Ralph Carney.
