10 months after the L.A. band’s debut single, “Broken,” was released, the song has been certified platinum for a million downloads and equivalent streams.

Last weekend in L.A., the group taped an episode of the PBS series Front and Center, some of which will be used in This Is the Year, a coming-of-age movie about five high schoolers who take a road trip to see the group.

Today (Wednesday), the band was announced as celebrity mentors and performers during the All-Star Duets round of American Idol. The air date for their episode will be announced soon.
