Norah Jones, Lucinda Williams, Phoebe Bridgers, Beth Orton and Margo Price pay tribute to Bobbie Gentry on a reworking of one of the country singer-songwriter’s albums

Mercury Rev‘s Bobbie Gentry’s The Delta Sweete Revisited is due out February 8th, and it features 13 vocalists backed by the group as they interpret songs from Gentry’s 1968 country-rock opera The Delta Sweete. Williams does the only song not featured on the original album — the number-one hit “Ode to Billie Joe.”
