Ryan Adams: Not Happy With Ex’s Interview

Ryan Adams definitely isn’t happy with what his ex-wife Mandy Moore said about their marriage in an interview with Glamour magazine.

On Wednesday, Adams tweeted a link to the piece where Moore said that in marrying him, “I didn’t choose the right person.” He captioned it, “She didn’t like The Melvins or Blade Runner. Doomed from the start. If only I could remember the start.”

When someone tweeted that his was a “savage” insult, he responded, “Sometimes you get stuck to the spiritual equivalent of a soggy piece of cardboard. But it rains on net-a-porter everyday when you’re trapped inside yourself. Take the money I’ll take my pride, any day.”

Today (Thursday), he tweeted the link again and wrote, “When someone told me we got married I thought they were joking. Then I realized how many painkillers I was taking. Honestly there weren’t enough to numb the shock.” A fan responded by writing, “You probably wrote the 75 percent of your love songs thinking about her. She simply said you weren’t the right person she’s not saying you were evil or mean to her.” Adams wrote back, “There’s not actually a single song about her. Like not one. Fact.”
