Flea Wants to Take Someone to a Laker Game

Flea wants to take someone to a Los Angeles Lakers game — for charity.

The ticket to see the Lakers play the San Antonio Spurs is one of the dozens of items up for bids at the bassist’s annual Silverlake Conservatory of Music benefit, which is set for September 29th. The Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline the event, which includes performances by Lindsey Buckingham, k.d. lang and comedian Marc Maron.

Flea tells Rolling Stone, “The most outlandish and luxurious thing that I’ve ever bought for myself in my life are these Lakers courtside tickets.” He originally was going to auction off the full pair. But, he explained, “when we decided that I should auction off a game, I’m like, ‘I’m not going to not go, so they gotta go with me.’ I’m not missing LeBron James. I’m not gonna miss, like, him dishing to Lance Stephenson on the wing. I mean, come on.”
