Buddy Guy and Other Chicago Blues Artists Pay Tribute to The Stones

The Rolling Stones started out as a band influenced by great Chicago bluesmen — and now the some of the Windy City’s blues legends are returning the favor.

Chicago Plays the Stones is out now, and it features Stones classics like “Satisfaction,” “Sympathy for the Devil” and “Miss You” done by various blues singers. And two Stones appear on the album — Mick Jagger joins Buddy Guy on “Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker),” and Keith Richards plays alongside Jimmy Burns on “Beast of Burden.”

Meanwhile, Mick Jagger is once again being blamed for England’s elimination from the World Cup tournament.

The Rolling Stones‘ singer was in the Moscow stadium Wednesday when England lost to Croatia. He was also on hand four years ago in Brazil when the Three Lions bowed out.

Also fueling the theory are his social media posts about the games he attends and his solo song from last year, “England Lost.” In it he sings, “I went to see England, but England’s lost, and everyone said we were all ripped off.”

No word if Portuguese or Italian fans are also blaming him for their teams’ ousters after he predicted they would win their matches while performing with the Stones in Lisbon and Rome.
