The late Chris Cornell, Elvis Costello, John Mellencamp and The Jayhawks are among the artists on a new Johnny Cash tribute album.

Johnny Cash: Forever Words features songs created from his unreleased poetry, lyrics and letters. It’s due out April 6th. The album was co-produced by Cash’s son, John Carter Cash, and mostly recorded at The Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The album was inspired by the 2016 book Forever Words: The Unknown Poems, a volume of Cash’s unpublished writing.
