You’d think a guy who’s famous for his “conscious uncoupling” with Gwyneth Paltrow would be perfect for a guest shot on ABC’s Modern Family — and you’d be right.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin will appear as himself on the popular show’s November 29th episode, which is titled Brushes With Celebrity. The magazine reports that Martin has already shot his scenes, and quotes insiders as saying they’re much more than just a cameo. In fact, they call his part “beefy.”

The Reporter also reveals that Martin’s sequences will come via a flashback by Ty Burrell’s character, Phil, who broaches “an awkward ‘health issue’ while trying to sell Martin a house.”
