Stevie Wonder Salutes Michelle Obama on the Tonight Show

Stevie Wonder capped Wednesday’s Tonight Show by singing to Michelle Obama and then joyously sitting next to the first lady.

The Motown legend sang revised versions of his classics “Isn’t She Lovely” and “My Cherie Amour,” with the lyrics changed to salute Mrs. Obama.

Back on the couch, Stevie said he first met Barack Obama in 2004, when the future president was running for the Senate from Illinois. He visited Stevie at his Wonderland Studios, hoping he might do a benefit show for him. The guys hit it off well, and began to discuss the future.
